This section describes the buttons and modules in the LoadRunner Enterprise banner, available at the top of the LoadRunner Enterprise window.

Top banner actions

From the top banner you can perform standard actions, such as selecting a domain and project, displaying version information, changing a password, or signing out.

In addition, you can use the top banner to move between modules.

  • Expand the Home Page dropdown menu to display the modules. You can return to the Home Page at any time by clicking the OpenText logo. For details, see Modules menu.

  • If ValueEdge is enabled for a tenant, the ValueEdge menu is shown in the banner. Click the ValueEdge menu button ValueEdge menu button to display and go to the ValueEdge modules. Your LoadRunner Enterprise tenant is available in the ValueEdge Performance Engineering module.

Test information

When you drill down away from the Home Page, for example to the results or reports page, the banner shows several buttons with numbers providing information about the tests:

  • Number of running test icon The Number of running tests button

  • Number of tests open for editing icon The Number of tests open for editing button

Click on a button to display the list of tests, and then click a Run ID or Test ID to drill down further. For details, see View running tests in the Run Dashboard.

Modules menu

Open the menu to access LoadRunner Enterprise's modules.

By default, LoadRunner Enterprise opens on its home page. For details, see View the Home Page.

The following table describes the contents of the modules, based on their area. To open a menu, click the module name or the dropdown arrow in the center of the top banner.

Area Module Description
Assets Analysis template

Enables you to create and manage analysis templates. For details, see Customize analysis templates.

Assets Monitors

Enables you to create and manage monitor profiles and monitors over a firewall. For details, see Create a monitor profile.

More Tools Controller Options

Opens the Controller Options dialog box, enabling you to configure the global Controller options for your LoadRunner Enterprise project. For details, see Configure Controller options.

More Tools Download Applications

Opens the Download Applications dialog box, enabling you to download standalone applications needed for working with LoadRunner Enterprise. For details, see Download standalone applications.

Reports Performance Trending

Enables you to view performance trending information. For details, see Define a trend report.

Reports System Reports

Enables you to generate reports to help monitor and manage usage of LoadRunner Enterprise resources. You can also generate reports from LoadRunner Enterprise Administration. For details, see Reports.

Resources Hosts

Enables you to view and manage hosts. For details, see View and manage hosts.

Resources Timeslots

Enables you to view and manage timeslots. For details, see View or edit a reserved timeslot.

Test Management Create a test

Opens the Create New Performance Test dialog box, enabling you to create a new test. For details, see Create a test.

Test Management Run Dashboard

 

 

The Run Dashboard displays details of running and offline performance tests, and enables you to perform runtime test run actions. For details, see View running tests in the Run Dashboard and View finished test run results offline.

Note: This module is not listed in the modules menu. To display it, click Run ID in the Runs module, or Show Online / View Results in the Home Page.

Test Management Runs

Enables you to view, run, and manage test sets and test runs. For details, see Manage test runs and results.

Test Management Tests & Scripts

Displays the test management tree. Enables you to create and manage tests. For details, see Create and manage tests.
