Manage dashboard tabs

This topic describes how to create, organize, and manage dashboard tabs for a run.

Overview

Before you manage dashboard tabs, sign in to your tenant and select a project and run. For details, see Sign in and select a run.

By default, the dashboard displays a Dashboard 1 tab with four widgets, each containing a single metric: Running Vusers, Throughput, Total Errors, and Hits per second.

Tabs are not persistent between test runs; tabs created for one run are not available in other runs of the same load test. For limits, see Dashboard limits.

Create and manage tabs

The following table lists tab management actions in the dashboard.

Action Description
Create a tab

  1. In the Tabs toolbar, click the Add dashboard button Add dashboard to add a new dashboard tab.

  2. Select either a Single widget dashboard or a 4-widget dashboard. You can add more widgets to the tab at a later stage.

    A new tab opens with the selected number of widgets.

When the tab limit is reached, the Add dashboard button + is unavailable. For limits, see Dashboard limits.
Rename a tab

Click the Edit button Edit on the tab.
Close a tab

Click the Close button Close on the tab.

Note: There must be at least one open tab. A closed tab cannot be re-opened.
Add metrics

For details on adding metrics to widgets, see Metrics tree.
Add a widget

Click the Add widget button +. An empty widget is added to the dashboard.

When the widget limit is reached, the Add widget button Add widget is unavailable. For limits, see Dashboard limits.

Copy or duplicate a widget

Copy a widget to another dashboard tab, or duplicate it within the same tab.

Change time range

Set the dashboard time range by specifying start and end points. The time picker configuration impacts all the widgets in the selected tab.

To set the dashboard time range:

  1. In the Dashboard, select the tab that you want to filter.

  2. In the time picker area, drag the start indicator (the first bold line) to set the start range.

  3. Repeat for the end indicator.

The time frame for which results are displayed is shown in each graph.
Configure graph time options

Use the Absolute time switch to control how elapsed time is displayed on the x-axis in the graphs within this tab:

  • Turn on the switch to display the actual time based on the local browser's system clock.

  • Turn off the switch to display time relative to the start of the test run.

The selected time mode applies to each graph in expanded mode. If you change the time display in expanded mode (see Change the graph display), the change applies only to the current session. The setting does not apply to other graphs. The graph reverts to the tab setting when you reopen it.
