Manage Dimensions CM requests in an iteration

This topic explains how to work with Dimensions CM requests in an iteration.

Add request from backlog

You can add a request from a backlog to an iteration if you are the owner of the iteration or an administrator.

You can add only those requests that are not already assigned to another iteration. Such requests have a green circle next to their label.

To add a request from a backlog:

  1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.

  2. On the Products page, open a product.

  3. On the sidebar, select Issues > Iterations.

  4. Open the iteration where you want to add a request.
  5. If the right panel is not displayed, in the Content tab, click Hide/show the right-hand panel .

  6. In the right panel, select Backlogs.
  7. Select a backlog or search for one by title or ID.
  8. Select a request and drag it to the iteration in the left panel.
  9. To change a request's position, in the Rank column, grab the request and drag it to a different position. Or double-click the Rank field and enter a new position.

Move requests between iterations

You can move a request from/to another iteration if you are the owner of both iterations. The request is removed from the source iteration and added to the target iteration.

To move a request from another iteration:

  1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.

  2. On the Products page, open a product.

  3. On the sidebar, select Issues > Iterations.

  4. Open the iteration where you want to add a request.

  5. If the right panel is not displayed, in the Content tab, click Hide/show the right-hand panel .

  6. In the right panel, select Iterations.

  7. Select an iteration or search for one by title or ID.

  8. Select a request and drag it to any position in the iteration in the left panel.

To move one or more requests to another iteration:

  1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.

  2. On the Products page, open a product.

  3. On the sidebar, select Issues > Iterations.

  4. Open the iteration from where you want to remove requests.

  5. If the right panel is not displayed, in the Content tab, click Hide/show the right-hand panel .

  6. In the right panel, select Iterations.

  7. Select a target iteration or search for one by title or ID.

  8. Under the source iteration in the left panel, select one or more requests you want to move.

  9. On the toolbar, select Move To > Iteration on Right <iteration ID>.

Move requests to new iteration

You can move requests from an existing iteration to a new iteration.

To move one or more requests to a new iteration:

  1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.

  2. On the Products page, open a product.

  3. On the sidebar, select Issues > Iterations.

  4. Open the iteration from where you want to remove requests.

  5. In the Content tab, select the requests you want to move.

  6. On the toolbar, select Move To > New Iteration.

  7. Give the new iteration a name and specify its duration and start date.

  8. Click Start.

Remove requests from iteration

You can remove requests from an iteration if you are the owner or an administrator. After you remove a request, you can add it to other iteration.

To remove requests from an iteration:

  1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.

  2. On the Products page, open a product.

  3. On the sidebar, select Issues > Iterations.

  4. Open the iteration from where you want to remove requests.

  5. Select one or more requests.

  6. Click Remove and confirm.
