Set pull request rules

As an administrator, you can set the default review rules used by pull requests.

Rules control how reviews move from one state to another, for example, whether all reviewers must approve a review, or just one reviewer. For details, see Review rules.

Set a pull request rule for a product

The pull request rule set for a product or Git repository applies to pull requests in all streams/branches of the product.

To set a pull request rule for a product or Git repository:

  1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.
  2. On the Products page, open the product or Git repository for which to set the review rule.
  3. On the sidebar, select Settings > Reviewing changes.
  4. In the Pull Requests section, select Use custom pull request rules.
  5. Select a rule from the list.
  6. Click Save.

Set a pull request rule for a stream/branch

You can set a review rule for pull requests in an individual stream/branch, overriding the rule inherited from the product.

To set a pull request rule for stream/branch:

  1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.
  2. On the Products page, drill down to open the relevant product/Git repository and stream/branch.
  3. On the sidebar, select Settings. The Reviewing Changes page opens.
  4. In the Pull Requests section, select Use custom review rules.
  5. Select a rule from the list.
  6. Click Save.
