Get started

OpenText™ Functional Testing Lab for Mobile and Web provides an end-to-end quality lab of real devices, emulators, and browsers. This helps you test, monitor, and optimize your mobile apps for an enhanced user experience.

First steps

Get started in the following areas.

Install

Install on a Windows or Linux machine. For details, see Install.

Configure shared spaces

Install your license, create shared spaces, configure global settings, and manage users in the Operator console. For more information, see Shared space management.

Add and configure workspaces

Create workspaces to segregate or share applications and devices between specific groups of users. For details, see Lab and workspace management.

Connect devices

Add devices to your lab. For details, see Connect devices.

Add users

Allow others to run tests with OpenText Functional Testing Lab by adding them to the list of users. For details, see Lab and workspace management.

Manage apps

Upload a new app, see information about apps that have already been uploaded, or delete apps. For details, see Manage apps.

Other administration tasks

Configure the lab by setting properties and enabling features on the server. For details, see Administration settings.
Install and manage licenses. For details, see License installation and management.
Set up app packaging and signing services. For details, see App packaging and signing services

Start testing your mobile app

Test your app manually. For details, see Manual Testing.

Connect devices (Optional)

Install the standalone connector. For details, see Install the connector on a Linux machine, Install the connector on a Windows machine, and Install the connector on a Mac machine.
