Request Providers main window

This topic describes the areas and options of the Request Providers section in the Administration Console.

About the Request Providers main window

The Request Providers main window contains the following areas:

Menu area Contains the toolbar for adding and editing instances of request providers.
Navigation area Enables you to view and select from a list of available instances.
Content area Displays a summary of all request providers, or the details of a selected provider.

Request Providers menu area toolbar

In the Request Providers menu area, use the toolbar buttons to work with request providers:

  • Add a new request provider instance.

  • Edit an existing request provider instance.

  • Switch between the views. To view a list of request provider instances, use the Providers view (default). To view mapped providers for a project or stream, use the Project/Stream Mapping view.

  • Change mapped request providers for the database, a product, or a project/stream.

Request Providers navigation area

In the Request Providers navigation pane, with the Providers view open, select the nodes to view the following information:

  • To view a list of all request providers in the base database, select the top-level Request Providers node.

  • To view a list of all instances for a specific provider, expand the request provider node.

  • To view and edit the details of a specific instance, expand the request provider node and select the instance.

If you switch to the Project/Stream Mapping view, you can view mapped provider instances for the database, a product, or a project/stream. Select the relevant node in the navigation pane to display the details of a selected object in the content pane.

Database Options content area

Select a request provider node in the navigation pane to perform the following operations in the content pane:

  • View a list of instances added for the provider.

  • Create a new provider instance.

  • Edit an existing instance.

  • Delete instances.

Expand a request provider node and select a provider instance in the navigation pane to view the following information in the content pane:

  • General. Basic details about the provider instance.

  • Mapping. The projects/streams mapped to the provider instance. You can change the mapping to add or remove projects/streams.
