Edit Dimensions CM requests in Eclipse

You can edit the attributes and action description of a Dimensions CM request in the Eclipse IDE.

Note: To edit external requests, use the relevant request provider, for example, OpenText ALM Octane or Atlassian Jira.

Edit request attributes

You can edit the attributes for a Dimensions CM request in your inbox or favorites.

If you attempt to edit the attributes of multiple requests at the same time, each request opens in an individual request editor.

To edit a request's attributes:

  1. Right-click a request, and select Edit Attributes.

  2. From the Role Section list, select a role whose attributes you want to change.

  3. On the Attributes table, enter or select values. Attributes in bold are required, and attributes in italics cannot be modified.

  4. Press CTRL+S to save the changes.

If you close the request editor or exit Eclipse without saving, Eclipse prompts you to save the changes. Select the requests you want to save.

If you are changing the value of a sensitive attribute, you need to enter the password for your current user. If you fail to authenticate three times, the connection to the Dimensions CM server closes, and you must log in again.
