Install Git Client IDE plugin

You can install the Dimensions CM Git Client IDE plugin from the installer or the IDE marketplace.

To install the Git Client IDE plugin:

  1. Install the Git Client. For details, see Install the Git Client.
  2. Install your IDE software.

  3. Install Git.

    Note: Microsoft Visual Studio has its own bundled installation of Git.

  4. Install the Git Client plugin for your IDE from the installer or the IDE Marketplace:

    Install from the installer:

    • Eclipse

    • IntelliJ IDEA

    • MathWorks MATLAB

    • Apache NetBeans

    • Microsoft Visual Studio Code

    Install from the IDE marketplace:

    • Eclipse

    • IntelliJ IDEA

    • Microsoft Visual Studio

      (separate installers for Visual Studio IDE 2022 and Visual Studio IDE 2019 or earlier)
