Find Design Part dialog box

In the Find Design Part dialog box, search for design parts and create or modify design part filters.

Use the Find Design Part: Options tab to limit the search by specifying a lifecycle status and user role.

Use the Relationships tab to limit the search by specifying design part relationships.

Use the Dates tab to limit the search by specifying a creation or modification date.

Use the Attributes tab/page to limit the search by specifying attribute values.

Use the Find Now tab to view the search results.

General tab

Use the General tab to limit the search based on general design part information.

Field Description

Filter Sets

Select a saved filter.

When you select a filter, the fields on the tabs are populated with the search criteria that you saved for that filter.

To clear all values, click Reset.

Save button

Click to save the filter that is displayed in the Filter Sets list.

This button is enabled only if you have made changes to filter values in the Find dialog box.

Create button

Click to create a new filter.

Enter a name for the filter. To create a filter based on the values already set in the Find dialog box, select the Based Upon Current Set option.

Remove button Click to delete the filter that is displayed in the Filter Sets list.
Product Select the product ID.
Category Select a design part category.

ID

Enter the design part ID.

You can use wildcards:

  • Use an underscore (_) to match exactly one character. For example, d_g matches dog or dig.

  • Use a percent sign (%) to match any number of characters. For example, d%g matches dog or drag or dreaming.

Variant Enter a design part variant. You can use wildcards.
PCS Enter a part change status. You can use wildcards.
Description Enter text to find in the design part description. You can use wildcards.
