Check Out Item/Check Out Multiple Items dialog box
Use this dialog box to check out one or more item revisions so that you can edit them.
If you select a single item, you see two tabs. If you select multiple items, you see a dialog box with no tabs.
Use the controls on the General tab (single item) or untabbed dialog box (multiple items) to enter information about the selected items.

Accept the file name for the checked out item, enter a different one, or click Browse. |
Single item selected only. The default name is the item revision project file name. Enter a full path or a path relative to the project root folder, or click the browse button to find it. |
Request ID |
Type the name of one or more requests, or click the browse button to find them. |
Single item selected only. Your process model may require you to specify a request. The checked out item is related to the request as In Response To, and the existing revision related as Affected. |

Type the name of one or more requests, or click the Browse button to find them. |
Multiple items selected only. Your process model may require you to specify a request. The checked out items are related to the requests as In Response To, and the existing revisions are related as Affected. |
Folder to Contain Items |
Accept the name of the folder to contain the checked out items, or type a different folder pathname. |
Multiple items selected only. Enter a full pathname or a pathname relative to the project root folder, or click the browse button to find it. Note: If you enter a full pathname, this is used to identify the project root folder. The project subfolder for the items is appended to this location. |
Expand Substitution Variables |
Select to enable item header substitution. |
This occurs only if Enable item header substitution is set for the item type in the Administration Console. |
Automatically Overwrite Files |
Select to write over existing files or directories in your work area. |
If an existing file is read-only, it is overwritten regardless of the setting of this option. |
Apply System Date/Time to File |
Select to set the timestamp of the file or folder in your work area to the current date and time. |
