View activity

You can view and download recent activity for a space, vault, product, or stream/branch. As an administrator or space owner, you can also view the activity of other PulseUno users, for example, when you need to investigate certain events.

Activity feed events

Depending on the area you are viewing, the activity feed may include information about the following recent events:

  • Deliveries of changesets to the streams or branches that create reviews.

  • Reviewers added to a review.

  • Changes to review states.

  • Review comments and votes.

  • The results of chains and chain plugins than ran on changesets.

  • Pushes to and/or pulls from a Git repository, including rejected push and pull operations.

  • Packages deployed to a vault.

  • Package comments and votes.

  • Packages and files deleted from a vault, including content removed by your retention policy.

  • Packages that are selected or cleared to be kept forever.

View activity feed

When viewing the activity feed, use filters to refine the list of events.

To view and filter activity:

  1. Choose the area to view its activity:

    Area Description
    Space On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.
    Vault
    1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.

    2. On the sidebar, select Vaults.

    3. On the Vaults page, open a vault from the list.

    Product/Git repository,
    stream/branch
    1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.

    2. Open a product or Git repository from the product list, and then open the relevant stream/branch.

    Your own activity (My Work area) Click the company logo in the upper-left corner of the screen.
  2. On the sidebar, select Activity. By default, all activities for the area are displayed.

  3. You can use search to find items in the All Activities list:

    Area Description
    Space,
    product/Git repository,
    stream/branch

    To find activity for a review or pull request, enter the review or pull request label, for example, Q1234.

    To find a changeset, enter the changeset ID, for example, 4567.

    Vault To find activity for a package, enter the package name or part of the name.
  4. To refine the list of events, from the All Activities list, select an event type, for example, Comments.

    Or enter an keyword in the search field in the format <keyword>:<value>. Keywords are not case-sensitive.

    Example: To view activity for a specified date, enter your search string in this format: Date:2023-03-06.

    To view activity for two or more event types, enter keywords in one of the following formats:

    <keyword>:<value1>,<value2>
    <keyword>:<value> or <keyword>:<value>

    Example: To view activity for reviews and votes, enter Event:Reviews,Votes. To view activity for a specific date range, for example, the first quarter of 2023, enter Date:2023-01-01,2023-03-31.

  5. Administrators only: To view activity for a particular user, click the user's name in any event performed by the user.

To view activity for reviews or changesets, open the Conversation tab of the relevant review or changeset. For details, see View details in reviews and View changesets.

Export activity feed

As an administrator or space owner, you can download all or selected activity. PulseUno exports activity data to an XML or JSON file.

To export the activity feed:

  1. Open the Activity page for the appropriate area or user, as described in View activity feed.

  2. Click Export next to the search field. The Feed Export dialog box opens.

  3. From the All Activities list, select an event type to export. To export the entire activity feed for the selected area, leave All activities selected.

    To select activity for two or more event types, enter keywords in one of the following formats:

    <keyword>:<value1>,<value2>
    <keyword>:<value> or <keyword>:<value>

    Keywords are not case-sensitive.

    Example: To select activity for reviews and votes, enter Event:Reviews,Votes.

  4. Select the format in which to export the data. The supported formats are XML and JSON.

  5. Select the period for which to export activity.

    To specify your own period, select Custom and then select the start and end dates.

  6. Click Export. A file with activity data is downloaded to your machine.
