New Component/Component Details Dialog Box
The New Component dialog box enables you to define a new component.
The Component Details dialog box enables you to view and update the details of the selected component.

Description |

Clear All Fields. Clears the data in the dialog box. |

Send by E-mail. Sends an email with the component details. For user interface details, see the ALM help |

Spell Check. Checks the spelling for the selected word or text box. |
|
Thesaurus. Displays a synonym, antonym, or related word for the selected word. |
|
Spelling Options. Enables you to configure the way ALM checks spelling. |
|
Component ID |
ID assigned to the component when the component was created. This data is automatically entered by ALM, and cannot be modified. Available from: Component Details dialog box |
Component name |
Name for the new business component. |

Snapshot |
Captures and attaches a snapshot image from the application. For user interface details, see Snapshot Tab. Snapshots can be viewed and modified in the Business Component Settings dialog box in UFT One. For details on the Business Component Settings dialog box, see the UFT One help. Manual Implementation |
Enables you to create or view the manual steps of your business component. For user interface details, see Manual Implementation Tab. Available from: Component Details dialog box |
Automation |
Enables you to create or view the automation for your business component. Available from: Component Details dialog box |
Parameters |
Defines input and output component parameters and default parameter values for the business component. For user interface details, see Parameters Page. Available from: Component Details dialog box |
Dependencies |
Displays the dependency relationships between components, tests, flows, and resources (including application areas). For user interface details, see Available from: Component Details dialog box |
History |
Displays a log of changes made to the component. For details, see Display ALM history. Available from: Component Details dialog box |
