Design Part Structure main window
This topic describes the areas and options of the Design Part Structure main window in the Administration Console.
About the main window
The Design Part Structure main window contains the following areas:
Menu area | Displays the toolbar. |
Navigation area | Enables you to view and select from the design part structure. |
Content area | Displays details about the selected design part. |

Design Parts menu area
The Design Parts menu area contains the toolbar for performing the following operations:
Button | Description |

Create a new design part or design part variant. | |
Delete the selected design part. | |
Move the selected design part to a different position in the design structure. | |
Suspend the selected design part. | |
Create a usage relationship between the selected design part and another design part. | |
Break a usage relationship between the selected design part and another design part. |
Design Parts navigation area
The Design Parts navigation area displays the product's design part structure.
You can select a design part to view associated details and perform actions on the design part in the content area.
Design Parts content area
When you select a part in the navigation area, the Design Parts content area displays design part details, and includes the following options:

Edit the selected design part.

Update the design part's PCS.
When you select the top-level product icon in the navigation area, you can:

Select a design part to perform operations on it. To select all design parts on the page, click Select All .

Print the list of design parts.

Save the list of design part as comma-separated values.

Sort the list of design parts by clicking the column headings.
