What's new in 24.4

The following usability enhancements are available in this version.

Feature Description
SSO authentication

Set up SSO authentication for logging in to Connect as you do with other SSO applications.

Restrict concurrent executions in a connection group

You can now configure a connection group to restrict how many connections in the group can start and run synchronizations at the same time.

For details, see Configure a connection group.

Enhanced scripts to stop and start connections
  • The new StartAllConnections and StopAllConnections scripts allow you to start or stop all connections.

  • The new executionTimeLimit argument is added for all start/stop scripts to limit the execution duration.

Support for keyboard navigation

Using your keyboard, you can access most interactions and information that can be accessed with your mouse.

Deprecation: Connect authenticator

The connector-based authentication (Connect authenticator) is deprecated as of 24.4.

This functionality will be removed in a future release.

Note: This deprecation concerns only the authentication method to access Connect itself, not related to authentication with any endpoint products.

What's new in 24.2

The following usability enhancements are available in this version.

Feature Description
Fallback user support Fallback user functionality is now available for the Azure DevOps and ServiceNow connectors. For details, see Fallback users.
Connection renaming You can now rename connections from the user interface. For details, see Managing connections.
Markdown comments support Markdown comments are now supported in Azure DevOps, allowing you to synchronize comments with user mentions. For details, see Automatic user mapping.
Support for security level fields in Jira The Jira connector now supports synchronization of security level fields. This feature requires access to all security levels and visibility of items with an Empty (NONE) security level. For details, see Prepare Jira for synchronization.

What's new in 24.1

The following usability enhancements are available from version 24.1.

Feature Description
JavaScript in calculated values You can now use standard JavaScript for calculated values. This new JavaScript functionality is not backward compatible with the undocumented JavaScript capability of previous 23.x releases, which is no longer supported. For details, see Define calculated values.
Performance improvements To improve performance and reduce CPU and memory usage, chart generation was deactivated by default. If required, you can enable the chart generation. For details, see Charts.
Azure DevOps connector enhancements Azure DevOps connectors have improved support for ADO paths. For details, see Azure DevOps synchronizations.
Jira boards optional Jira boards are now optional. Jira boards are only required when you need to synchronize sprint data. For details, see Prepare Jira for synchronization.
Connection groups You can now group connections together into logical groups and filter them by group. For details, see Create and manage connections.
Cloning improvements You can now specify a different data source for a cloned connection. For details, see Create and manage connections.
