Aviator enhancements

Available for: Web Client

Aviator is an AI-powered virtual assistant that helps teams work faster and more efficiently. The following enhancements are now available for Aviator.

What's New	Details
AI Workflow	Use Workflow to control and customize the context sent to the model, such as AI-based generation of sub-requirements from a requirement. For more details, see AI Workflow.
Bring Your Own Model	On-premises only: Use your own LLM with Aviator. Supported models include Gemini 2.5 Flash, GPT 4.1, and Mistral Small 3.1. For more details, see Aviator setup.

Electronic signature

The new e-signature (controlled workflow) feature enables the configuration and management of controlled workflows for various entities.

Approval settings	Configure teams, multi-level approval routes, and approval policies. Available for: Web Client
Approval progress tracking	Track approval progress in real time.
Audit and compliance controls	Use full audit logging and compliance controls.
Field locking	Lock fields during and after approval.
Email templates	Use custom email templates.
Bulk actions	Use bulk actions for approvals such as bulk approve, reject, or reassign.

Web Client enhancements

The following new features and enhancements are available in Web Client.

What's New	Details
Faster navigation	Use the new left-side menu for faster navigation.
Export tests to Excel	You can now export tests, including steps, to Excel. For details, see Export tests.
Defect linking across modules	Add defects across modules and link them automatically. This improves end-to-end traceability and reduces missed dependencies. For details, see Link defects to entities.
Run multiple tests	You can now run multiple tests directly from the toolbar. For details, see Define test sets and run tests
Cross-entity linking and navigation	This release includes enhanced cross-entity linking and navigation: Linked Defects now supports viewing indirect links. For details, see Link defects to entities. ID hyperlinks in grids enable direct navigation to linked entities. Attachments and linked entities are now displayed with an icon. Click the icon to open the Attachment or Linked Entity tab.
Version control	With the new pending check-in option for version controlled projects, you can view all entities in the current module that you have checked out. You can then check in or undo the checkout for selected entities. For details, see Version control.
Cycle creation	You can now create multiple cycles with one click. For details, see Create releases and cycles.
Test Configurations	Test configurations can now be added for a test. For details, see Test configurations.
Go to test instance	You can now navigate directly from a test case to its related test instances. For details, see Create a test plan tree.
Copy test instance	You can now copy a test instance to another test to quickly reuse test run configuration. For details, see Copy test instances between test sets.
Update requirements	When updating the target release or cycle of a parent requirement, you can now also apply the change to sub requirements.

Enterprise and customer enhancements

The following new features and enhancements are available.

Python support for OpenText Functional Testing	You can now select Python as the language for your OpenText Functional Testing tests. Available for: Desktop Client. For details, see Create tests.
Admin reports	Generate and view project usage reports from the Monitoring tab in Site Administration. For details, see View admin reports.
JIRA integration	JIRA 10.3 LTS is now supported. For details, see Test Management for Jira plugin.
Favorites in Test Run	You can now add favorites in the Test Run module.
Export to Excel	A new site parameter for skipping the Save Report dialog box provides an improved Excel export experience. For details, see Microsoft Excel reports. Available for: Desktop Client
Test instances bulk update	You can now select multiple test instances in the Test Lab and bulk update them. For details, see Update a field for selected entities.

Site Administration updates include the following parameters. For more details on site parameters, see Site Parameters.

What's New	Description
HIDE_EMAIL_ADDRESS_IN_SEND_BY_EMAIL	Now supported in Web client. Controls whether users can select recipients by entering email addresses when sharing entities via email.
ENABLE_ESIGN	Desktop Client only: Enables the e-signature feature for desktop client users. For details, see Configure approval settings.
CUSTOM_AI_CONFIG	Web client on-premises only: Defines the configuration for custom AI models. For details, see Aviator setup.
AVIATOR_CHIPS_IN_REQUIREMENT	Web client on-premises only: Controls the display of prompt chips in the Aviator Smart Assistant. For details, see Aviator setup.
SKIP_PERMISSION_CHECK_PARMLIST_LIST	Web client on-premises only: When set to the default value of AVIATOR_CHIPS_IN_REQUIREMENT, allows users in the Viewer group to see the Aviator predefined prompts, and allows users without test creation permissions to create tests from Aviator-generated suggestions.
